A considered way to run snooker. Divisional leagues, handicap competitions and frame-by-frame scores — recorded at the table, settled with a tap, and reflected on the standings the moment the black goes down.

Run snooker properly

Tap Leagues is free snooker league software — and a snooker app for iOS and Android — built for clubs and halls. Run divisional leagues with handicaps, record frame scores at the table, and keep a live league table the whole room can follow. No ledger behind the bar, no chalkboard to keep up to date.

Six ways to compete

Divisional leagues

Group your members into divisions by standard, play a round-robin, and let promotion and relegation carry the season on.

Handicap competitions

Give every player a points start per frame so a club novice can take a frame off the break-builder. The table stays fair and the room stays interested.

Hall knockouts

A one-table knockout for the championship night, with byes and seeding sorted and the bracket on every phone in the room.

Americano leagues

An evening of short rotating rounds entered on your own — everyone plays everyone, and the points stay with the player.

Club meets

A recurring social session members RSVP to, with evenly matched frames arranged on the night and the book kept for you.

Challenge ladders

One ranked list of the room. Challenge a player above you, win the match, and take their place — with handicaps if you use them.

Divisional leagues

A league table worthy of the room

Split your members into divisions by standard and let the table recalculate the instant a frame is logged. Bonus points reward players who play all their matches, and promotion and relegation roll one season neatly into the next.

Export the standings to PDF for the noticeboard, or just point the club at the link — it is never out of date.

Handicaps & frame scores

Every frame on the record

Record the result frame by frame and the app keeps the running tally, the breaks and the final line. Either player enters it at the table; the other approves with a tap — no disputes over who potted what.

Set a handicap per player and the maths is done for you: the start goes on the board before the break-off, so a fair contest is the default rather than the exception.

Hall knockouts

A championship night, organised

For the trophy on the wall, drop your entrants into a knockout. Byes and seeding are handled, and every frame won advances the bracket — so the room always knows who is one table away from the final.

Club form

Know who is on a break

Every recorded frame feeds the club leaderboard — recent form, win rates and all-time records, so the standard of the room is always there to see.

Handicaps

Snooker handicaps — a points start every frame

Each player carries a handicap in points. When two players meet, the difference between their handicaps goes on the scoreboard before the break-off, in every frame. A handicap of 0 is scratch; strong players can carry a negative handicap so they give a start to everyone.

  • Only the difference matters: +30 against +10 means the +30 player starts each frame 20–0 up.
  • A negative handicap is a start you give: −10 against +20 is a 30-point start to the +20 player.
  • The recorded frame score includes the start, exactly as it appears on the scoreboard.

With auto-adjust on, the winner's handicap comes down and the loser's goes up after each approved match. A frame won by a wide margin moves further than a close one — the same idea as the classic league rule of a point per frame plus the margin over 100.

Available in box leagues, ladders, tournaments and americano leagues. Members see the start before they play, and the app scores each game from it.
